MID CENTURY MODERN ~ DE STIJL STYLE GEOMETRIC METAL WALL SCULPTURE

Modernistic metal wall sculpture with bold eye appeal.   A mid century De Stijl styled piece that features a dimensional abstract geometric design that is very well balanced between the metal material and negative space, creating great shadow effects with direct lighting.

Dynamic linear visual art for the wall that provides the creation of effects through the use of pattern and line.  Black; metal construction with a modern simplistic cutting edge form and design.  Generously sized; sculpture measures just a tad under three feet by two feet with dimensions of 35.5 inches x 23.5 inches.  May be displayed vertically or horizontally as shown.  A wonderful Modernistic focal point for any room or setting.

Design is reminiscent of the De Stijl or neoplasticism art movement and works by Pieter Cornelis “Piet” Mondriaan.  De Stijl was posited on the fundamental principle of the geometry of the straight line, the square, and the rectangle, combined with a strong asymmetricality, the predominant use of pure primary color, and the relationship between positive and negative elements in an arrangement of non-objective forms and lines.

Currently offered for auction. See Ebay link at top of page.
