UNIQUE ECCENTRIC COLLECTIBLES ~ Large Las Vegas Estate

My daughter is helping a friend (who is the nephew of the famed late Buffalo Jim) list hundreds of collectibles and antiques on Ebay as well as a large number of guns at another auction site.  One of the items is Buffalo Jim’s Rolls Royce shown below - just one of the many very unique items she has recently photographed and posted on Ebay.  This was Buffalo Jim’s personal car.

James “Buffalo Jim” Barrier (March 22, 1953-April 6, 2008), born in Buffalo, New York, was an American wrestling promotor in Las Vegas.

The Buffalo Jim estate includes a large collection of celebrity memorabilia, from vehicles — to a lock of Elvis’s hair.

Also included in his collection were more cars such as a Jensen Interceptor that once belonged to Wayne Newton, and a pink Cadillac of Kid Rock’s that was used during the rocker’s proposal to Pamela Anderson.

My hometown – Sweetwater, Texas
Sweetwater was aptly named because of its oasis of sweet water among other bitter gypsum streams. The area was known as Mobeetie by the Kiowa Indians, the word meaning sweet water. Due to the good water, many different groups called the area home. At the time Sweetwater was named the county seat, on 12 April 1881, it didn’t even exist as a real town. But that lack was rectified with growth coming as the railroad came to town. Sweetwater was incorporated in 1902.

When I was three years old my Mother took me to see Elvis Presley at the Sweetwater Municipal Auditorium. Unfortunately, I have no recollection of the event. My Mother did though, and she sometimes reminded me that I wouldn’t sit still and all I wanted to do throughout the show was have her run me back and forth the bathroom causing her to miss precious moments of Elvis’ live performance…!
