I have thoroughly enjoyed anything I’ve seen so far that stars or includes Billy Bob Thornton. There are still many movies he’s made that I have yet to see – think I’ll renew my Netflix account and catch up on some of them.. soon. I’ve seen Sling Blade more times than I can count, and each time I watch it I’m completely blown away by Thornton’s performance.
What I especially like about this actor – his rugged good looks, his salt and pepper hair color, his mouth with that slight sexy overbite, his build, his outstanding acting skills and his genuine, down to earth yet slightly eccentric personality. He seems to me to be a very charismatic guy with quick wit and sense of humor but one who is also quiet, internal, and melancholy with a kind of subdued desperation.
Thornton lives in Los Angeles and was born on August 4, 1955. He has been married five times, most notably to actress Angelina Jolie. Thornton has stated that he will likely not marry again; he has specified that he believes that marriage “doesn’t work” for him. Thorton is a fan of the band Widespread Panic.
